We're in-network with most major plans, including Aetna, Cigna, BCBS FL, Sunshine, and more.
We follow the AAP immunization schedule as our standard of care. Families following the CDC schedule are welcome too, since some parents choose that path instead. To stay a patient here, your child needs to be current on at least the CDC-recommended schedule, unless there's a documented medical reason not to be. We're glad to talk through concerns and share information. If a child falls significantly behind CDC recommendations, we may need to refer your family to a practice better aligned with your preferences. For trusted, independent information, we recommend Immunize.org.
Book as far ahead as you'd like for well visits. If your child is sick and can't wait, call us. We hold same-day slots for urgent issues.
Call our office number and follow the prompts. You'll reach our after-hours on-call triage service, staffed by a trained healthcare professional who can help you decide next steps.
Newborn through age 21.
Yes. Dr. Betancourt and our providers are board-certified pediatricians trained to care for the whole child, not just the symptom in front of them.
Only when it's truly necessary. We'd rather see your child ourselves. That's why we hold same-day appointments throughout the day. Call us as early as 9 am, and we'll find a spot.
Hard to predict exactly. Mornings tend to move faster than afternoons, once we start working in same-day visits. We also don't rush appointments. Every child gets the time they need, which can mean occasional delays. We'd rather be a few minutes behind than rush your visit.
Yes, for established patients, when a virtual visit is appropriate for the concern.
We'll always give you guidance based on the best available pediatric evidence. But you're the parent. Our job is to inform your decisions, not make them for you.
